Wild Goose Chase – Book Review
Before you read this book there are a few things I suggest you have. Make sure you have a comfy seat, a highlighter, a cup of coffee, and an open schedule because once you pick up this book your not going to want to put it down.
I definitely recommend this book to everyone and anyone but especially to those who already know they have a specific call in their lives but are afraid to step out. This book will encourage to you step out in faith and go on the “Wild Goose Chase”. As a person who is preparing to go on a church plant, Wild Goose Chase has inspired me to keep the chase going and it also has confirmed many things that the Holy Spirit has been leading me into.
Here is one excerpt that I want to leave you with that really jumped out of me,
” Nehemiah had no architectual training oh his transcript and no construction experience on his resume. And as far as we know, he hd never been to Jersusalem. He was severly unqualified to purse this passion. A cupbearer rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem is pretty laughable when you think about it. Most God-ordained passions are. It was about as laughable as a farmer named Noah building an ark, a sheard named David fighting a Philistine giant, or a murderer named Paul writing half of the New Testament.
When it comes to doing the will of God, God ordained passions are far more important than any human qualification we can bring to the table. In fact, God often uses us at our point of greatest incompetence. That way He gets all the credit.”
